Current Sermon Series:
(Jn. 20:30-31) Jesus performed many miracles, but John chose seven so that "we might believe that Jesus is the Christ, and that by believing, we may have life in his name."

In his gospel, John refers to these seven signficant miracles as ""signs."" He calls them
signs because he wants to make it clear that what Jesus was doing was more than just 
demonstrating his power, but through these signs he was revealing truths about himself
and the kingdom of Heaven. 

We have a tendency to get caught up in the miracle and miss the deeper truth. Jesus is 
more than just a magician or a genie, He is the messianic king who has come to establish the kingdom. Everyne who seeks him simply for a miracle will miss him. But those who look beyond the miracle and into the person of Chrsit will find life.  "
